Roothold Type Fort Location Hills of No Return , northeastern Hernand Inhabitants Wolf Trackers (initially) House Celeste (post liberation) Roothold is a fortress under the jurisdiction of House Celeste . Overview [ ] A stronghold built around the Eldertree. What began as a small camp for those bound for the Sage's Peak has since evolved into a formidable mountain fort. Unique superstitions and customs revolving around the Eldertree still persist here. The tree is said to hold mysterious power. An ancient giant that has stood for ages, it has been the site of countless rites and enchantments. Driven by the belief that it grants power in exchange for offerings, some hunters offer it the blood of their games. Recently an organized band of Wolf Trackers lead by Gwen Kraber has taken over Roothold and claimed the Eldertree. After defeating most of them and killing Gwen Kraber , the Wolf Trackers collapsed and retreated, allowing the fort to be retaken by House Celeste . Gwen Kraber's spear would serve as a symbol of the fort's liberation.
